I tried Tool Values, Compact Tools and Chart Value Windows and don't really like any of them. I want to return to just using cross-hair with values on the Title Bar. I have returned but cannmot get rid of the windows when using the crosshair. SC video on this is six years old and not relevant to present software. The documentation says remove checked box in Settings Chart Settings and have done so and continue to get Chart Value's Window when using crosshair. Used it for eight years without these windows, Now that I've activated them, can't get Chart Values Window to go away.

You need to uncheck Window >> Show Compact Tool Values Window.

Yeah, I've done that. What I'm saying is I believe I've done everything in your documentation to get rid of a "window" and cannot. The only check mark now is for the status bar which I always use. It still yields a "Chart Values for Tools" window. I cannot get rid of it.

So you are saying after you close the Chart Values for Tools window, it automatically appears when you use the Chart Values tool or other tool?

Yes, it automatically appears when I use chart values/crosshair. Now I've tried unchecking Display Main Price Graph Values in Advanced Setting. Every time I close the box, it comes back with my second mouse click. Have a 7day YM chart that Tool Values "check "on window drop down magically comes back every time along with the Chart Values for Tools box. For nine years, I used just the cross hair and the status bar to get EOD data. Tried these boxes, they do present the information in a better format but I found the boxes too distracting when reviewing the whole chart.

Disable Global Settings >> Tool Settings >> Chart Values >> Show/Hide Tool Values Window.

The Display Main Price Graph Values options and the additional options opened with the small Settings button beside it, in Chart Settings is not relevant to this. They should be enabled.

You have opened the Chart Values Window. In order to see the data for each bar as you move through them with the crosshair, you need to enable the Tool Values Window. Refer to the information here:

First, go to the Window menu and make sure there is NOT a checkbox next to Chart Values Window, if there is one then select it again to remove the checkmark.

Then go back to the Window menu and make sure there IS a checkbox next to Tool Values Window, if there is not one, then select it to add a checkmark and open the Tool Values window.

Second, if you want to have the Tool Values Window only displayed when you select the crosshairs, then go to Global Settings >> Tool Settings >> Chart Values and make sure that the option for Show/Hide Tool Values Window When Tool Activated/Deactivated is set to Yes.

Refer to the following for more information:
