I have changed a bunch of rollover settings for futures. Even though I have un-checked the option to overwrite settings, when I press Update from server (on the request of SC staff, e.g. for a new symbol) everything is overwritten. Luckily I had a backup of the symbols file. Can you change this so that our changes are not lost no matter what?

This is something we cannot change when using Update From Server.

Be sure to keep a backup of GlobalSymbolSettings.XML and restore the changes when needed.

As an alternative, if we add a new symbol, what you need to do is just restart Sierra Chart to get the new symbol settings and the existing settings will be preserved.

Is S&P/TSX 60 (SXF) supported through SC data canadian feed? | Post: 83225
I could just restart SC and the new symbol would appear without losing my previous symbol changes?

Yes you could but we usually do not tell users to restart because there is another way to update the settings without restarting.

But sometimes we do tell users to restart.
