I currently use volume profile study on DOM chart. The volume profile is for the current session. I would like to display a second volume profile on the same DOM for a predefined number of sessions, for example, last five. Is it possible to do it? I tried two volume profiles, one aligned to right but I don't see option to specify number of sessions to calculate it for.
Ideally, I would like to have volume profile on both sides of the prices. I would appreciate your thoughts on how to accomplish it.

Thanks,

- Dominik

This is supported.

How to use the Volume by Price study is documented here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_VolumeByPrice.php

You need to set the Volume Graph Period Type Input as you require. Refer to the documentation for this Input:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_VolumeByPrice.php#InputVolumeGraphPeriodType

This is definitely not supported:

I re-read documentation and I'm still unclear how I can configure volume profile study to show me volume profile for the last three trading sessions - including current. I can specify manually start time to be three days ago, but that's the best I can come up with. Am I missing anything?

Yes we see now that the capability you are looking for is not currently supported.

We will see about adding this later on.

Thank you, let me know if you consider it. Manual work around is not bad but it would be nice to have this flexibility on the volume profile.

Yes. You need to set this Input:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/VolumeByPrice.php#InputVolumeGraphPeriodType

To: One Period At End of Fixed Time Length

Refer to the documentation for details.

If you are also using the TPO Profile Chart study you need to set this input to Yes:
