IS there a way to chart the prior days vwap and sd1 levels on the current day session? I would like to specifically see the prior globex vwap and levels on the currect globex session. Thanks

Does anyone know how if a spreadsheet has a capability to access the "time period type" in the VWAP function? Right now the spreadsheet has a reset fucntion based on the change of day. While great for a RTH session data, it does not help with a globex session, weekly, or month timeframes since it will reset every day.

No, you don't need Excel. Sierra Chart has built-in spreadsheet studies.

thank you for reply... my Vwap extendprev is not plotting I tried on eth and rth charts(I have not changed any settings on vwapentendprev study, in download (2) studies were in it 1) vwapextend and 2) VolumeWeightedAverageprice-Vwap does plot but i dont know how to make Extended plot. I have in my data folder both vwapextendprev.scwbf and .stdycollct. I think my issue I dont know how bring up spread sheet. I was reading from link and it said you have to change a cell start time. I fixed a bug when J1 is 00:00:00 and J2 is D. Go to sawtoothtrade.com and download VWAP ExtendPrev.scwbf again. Overwrite your old copy. Cell J1 must match the chart Session Start Time. Cell J2 must match the VWAP Time Period Type. The VWAP study must be at the top of the Studies To Graph list.

1) Put the downloaded files in your Sierra Chart \Data folder. 2) With a chartbook open, focus the chart to which you want to add this study. 3) Click on Analysis >> VWAP ExtendPrev- 4) When asked 'Clear Existing Studies on Chart?' choose No. 5) This will add an instance of the Volume Weighted Average Price study, and an instance of the Spreadsheet Study study (named VWAP ExtendPrev), and it will set the default settings of both, and then a spreadsheet will open. 6) If you have existing studies on your chart, click on Analysis >> Studies and move the Volume Weighted Average Price study to the top of the Studies to Graph list. 7) While on the Chart Studies, change the default Time Period Type of the VWAP study to your needs (Time Period Type of Minutes will not work with this spreadsheet study). 8) On the spreadsheet, set J1 to match the chart's Session Start Time, and set J2 to match the VWAP study's Time Period Type. 9) If you want more than one band outside the VWAP, go to Analysis >> Studies >> ExtendPrev >> Subgraphs tab and set the Draw Styles of the respective SGs to Dash.

tom, Many thx for explanation. when i select "No" I do get extended vwap lines but my vwap lines start from 8/1 thru today??? I dont see any extended lines,still cant get spreadsheet to open. The default VWAP Time Period Type of this study collection is Months. That is why the lines begin on 8/1. At what interval do you want the VWAP to reset? Change the Time Period Type setting in the VWAP study, then also change it in cell J2.

time period for vwap is 2000tick, change J2 is my problem where is J2 in spreadsheet? I do not have a spreadsheet plotting or displaying anywhere and I cant find a setting to enable it so i can see the spreadsheet>change J2 :)

Your pic shows that the spreadsheet study is there. To make everything visible on your screen, go to Window >> Tile Horizontally.

thank you Tom> I run 6 screens and keep the sierra main screen minimized just so i can see Im connected to data feed> this is why I missed the spreadsheet, when i didnt have the option on my vwap chart to change Window tile option i knew where it was located then>Many Thx for helping me locate spreadsheet

in attachment I have set start time and set for "D" days but my vwap chart still just displays monthly vwap, doesnt plot for extend vwap, is there anything I have to do to make vwap chart "apply" settings ???

You are not using the newer version. The newer version has formulas in column V. Z3 formula in previous post has been edited. Sorry for the trouble with this. Floating point errors had to be removed from the Time.
