Now that it is back up; i have a question. I am missing data for the morning. Does "Sierra Chart - Historical Daily and Intraday Data Service" backfill it? I tried to Delete and Download starting last Thur. But it is not backfilling. This is for the Eurex Bund. Ty

Our system is still experiencing a connection problem to OEC and this is the reason why there is no current historical Intraday data.

Yes, we are aware of this problem. We are getting the same error.

Gain Capital/OEC has been contacted.

Not sure it will help but update Sierra Chart to the current version with Help >> Download Current Version.

There were some recent code changes which we added about three weeks ago to solve this kind of issue. However, our testing now shows it is not helping. In any case this is an issue that OEC has to solve.

I am able to connect; and getting live data feed.. But everytime i go to delete and download, i am missing the intraday data (for today) from the time i reset.

All seems good now. Historical backfill coming in. According to my broker, it was an OEC issue. But i thought that the "Sierra Chart - Historical Daily and Intraday Data Service" would have filled in the gaps of the intraday while i was getting live data from OEC. I guess it does not work that way? Ty for all your help.

For the sake of understanding (if not to technical), how does it work?

a) When you backfill? Example - Is the data coming from Gain Servers for the past 24 hrs; then from the "Sierra Chart - Historical Daily and Intraday Data Service" prior to such period?

b) And; with Sierra Real time data feed, am i to assume that i would not have encountered a data issue in the prior session (yesterday, when Gain servers were down)?

All we are willing to say is that the missing historical data was related to the Gain/OEC FIX server having a problem.


If you are using the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed you would not had a market data problem but to access the real-time CME data it would still require a connection to your trading account.

Data for the BUND - Eurex is missing for the last hour and half of last session. It is also missing on the gain chart; therefore, i assume.. it is gain that needs to backfill the data.. Just saying, i case anyone else is encountering the issue.

If there is any missing data you just need to follow the instructions in help topic 7:

Tell us the exact symbol so we can check on it because there may be still some missing data we have to patch on one or more servers.

Hey Sierra NICE JOB!

If i understand right, the above issues will be solved when GAIN/OEC is down... I can also, stream other quotes, like forex and others on the same feed.
