Hi, I was wondering if you could add translucent to the background of the chart
options? It would be cool to overlay the bars of say a 30 second bar over a 5 min
bar.

Have a nice weekend.

This can be done by using the Study/Price Overlay study:

The study does not support this and we do not see anyway how this would be be technically possible.

In theory the easiest way to do it would be to have a translucent chart
background on a shorter term chart and then just place it over the longer
term second chart... then using the studies you might add a time line and price grid to
each chart to make sure everything syncs correctly.

If adding the translucent background to the chart options is an easy thing to do
you might consider it---I don't know of any other charting applications that have
anything like this so maybe you guys would have something different? I have used
the opacity thing in Visual Basic and know it is simple.

Will it make a difference? Who knows--but nothing ventured nothing gained.

Thanks again,

Cy

ps---another cool thing---a translucent chart background might be more efficient use
of screen real estate in that you could watch quotes---or a newsfeed through the chart.

Try this:

Add the User Contributed Study NMinBars to the 30 sec chart, and set the Second Count to 300.
Go to Analysis >> Studies >> Add Custom Study >> User Contributed Studies >> NMinBars
