Hi---a position I took yesterday in sim mode is still showing in real mode--I tried just selling it in sim
mode and then going back to real mode---but it still shows.

Your thoughts appreciated.

mmmm....I had had the sim position cleared but now it is back and the "clear sim trade " and "refresh trade data from service" don't clear it either.

many thx,

Where exactly in Sierra Chart are you seeing this Position?

And is Trade Simulation Mode disabled?:

If Sierra Chart is not in Trade Simulation Mode, then this is a complete impossibility. You are not going to see any simulated Trade Position data on the Trade Window.

Well---when I go to sim mode the position goes away---but the thing is I am 100% certain that the stock is
not in my IB account as I have the positions open in the TWS.

---also, I just opened the Orders and Positions window in SC and it has some positions that were all sold a while back---as in weeks
ago---these do not appear on the TWS platform---refresh trade data does not do anything to the positions

---also, the position that I have open right now--show in the TWS but not in SC

If you actually see Positions listed on the Positions tab of the Trade >> Trade Orders and Positions window, then those definitively are being sent by Interactive Brokers.

However, are the Trade Accounts for those Positions no longer in existence? Or not accessible by Sierra Chart? Exit from Sierra Chart and delete the TradePositionData.XML file to clear out positions for inaccessible accounts.

Update to the current version of Sierra Chart. There have been some changes to make the Trade Position data handling from Interactive Brokers has reliable as we can make it.

I will delete the file and update---I have to think the update will be the key

Actually we confirmed just now in our code that it is not possible for there to be Positions listed on the Positions tab of the Trade Orders and Positions window that were not just sent by Interactive Brokers.

So what you see on that tab is going to be the current data provided by Interactive Brokers

All is good now--

On another note---if you do end up writing the code for the indicator columns plz let me know--I might be able to chip in a few bucks for the effort

Not sure what "Indicator columns" you are referring to.
