I have backed up my charts from my PC and have uploaded them to my laptop. I can't seem to get the charts to open. do I need to install something?

These files that you have backed up, make sure they are placed in the folder specified in "Global Settings >> General Settings >> Data Files Folder".

You should then be able to open your Chartbooks with File >> Open Chartbook.

I would be very happy to pay for remote assistance.
I'm having trouble getting the charts installed on my laptop.

I have version 1037 on my desktop. I thought I should update it, then copy the files with a usb and load them onto my laptop.
When I click HELP and go to download current version (new spreadsheets) nothing happens. The new version doesn't download. Also I don't know what to download the new spreadsheets or the old spread sheets.

I assume I have to download sierra charts on my laptop but do I down load the 1037 version since I can't get the newer version?

I am traveling out of town in about 3 hours so I need to get this working before I go.

i have tried for two days to do this. the API is set correctly with Interactive Brokers.

If someone cold chat with me or call or do the remote assistance I would appreciate it very much. I've read instructions but I just don't understand why I can't get the new version on my desktop and then load that on the laptop. I can down sierra charts on my laptop but if I just download the latest version I don't assume my back up would work but maybe it will. Please send me some help ASAP.

Thanks very much.. Carol

Here is a link to the latest version of Sierra Chart that uses New Spreadsheets:
https://www.sierrachart.com/downloads/SierraChartSetupNoCLR.exe

You will need to use the version of Sierra Chart with New Spreadsheets.

We are just getting to this now, so the three hours have passed.

We can use remote assistance to help you. Just let us know when you are available again for that.
