Hello,

I am looking for a way to have my position sizing automatically calculated for me when I am entering my trades. I use OCO orders with one target and stop. I would like to enter my trades from the chart and automatically use the quantity based on my account size and where I have my stop and target. If I move my stop and target when I am setting up my trade before it is executed I would like my position sizing to keep updating. I would like an input to enter my account size and the system calculate either a % risk or a dollar amount that I am comfortable risking, as well as the R multiple. I would like this info displayed on the chart attached to the entry, stop, and target.

how can I do this? Thanks

This kind of functionality is not supported in any way by Sierra Chart.

Is it possible for the programmers at sierra chart to custom build this for me? I am willing to pay for the work.

If you are looking for us to do this, the waiting list is going to be about 12 months.

Any ideas on how I can get this done sooner? Do you know any vendors or outside programmers who would be able to do this for me?

Yes have a look at this page:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartStudyAndSystemProgrammers.html#ThirdPartyList

And if there is a developer who is interested in this, we can then give them the necessary capabilities in the Advanced Custom Study Interface and Language to fully accomplish this if it does not already exist. So this is something we are willing to do to help out.

Hi,
this kind of functionality is crucial for me as well and my team has developers as well.
Could you please let me know If I can get your support to obtain the necessary capabilities in the Advanced Custom Study Interface and Language to fully accomplish this?

Each time I go to my excel sheet type stop and entrance price and calculate position sizing. This causes me to miss some trades or good entries for short-term trades. Thank you.

The most basic functionality for this would be to set the Trade Window Order Quantity and ACSIL does support that:
ACSIL Interface Members - Variables and Arrays: sc.TradeWindowOrderQuantity

And ACSIL can access the current account balance for the selected trade account of the chart.

The only other thing though that you would need to know would be the currently set Stop and Target offsets but perhaps there could be a way with a function to access those. Let us know if you would need that.

I have been looking into developing a Risk Management Module that would adjust order quantities, stop, and targets based on account size and risk tolerance. Please send me a direct message if this is something you would like me to work on.

I need to read the currently set Stop and Target offsets, can you tell me if that is supported, or if you can add that?

If only for futures, I can create a simpler version.
