I have a chart up of a tpo profile chart , is there a way to have the values show up on another chart so that i can minimize the tpo profile chart. ideally i would like to have horizontal lines on another chart that represent exactly the values and point of control on the tpo profile chart.

The best way to do this is to use the study "TPO Value Area Lines". Here is the documentation for this study:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_TechnicalStudiesReference.html#s158

Make sure that you set the Session Times in Chart >> Chart Settings to what you require for the chart.

No. You will be able to most definitely get the same values as long as the related settings are the same between the 2 charts and studies.

Please review the documentation we linked to.

What is the time period for each chart bar in the chart you are using the study on?

ok you are correct if i use a minute chart it does match up.

but if i want it to go back 1.5 days and i use the minutes options (on the tpo value area lines) and set the tpo value area lines to say more than 1500 minutes back ( b/c i want a day and a half ) the chart freezes up. i can only use whole days and if i use the minutes it has to be less than a day otherwise --again the chart freezes up.

It would be a very rare condition to experience a "freeze up". We have not heard of that before with this study. You must be using some very unusual settings. It is not really clear what the settings are.

We applied the TPO Value Area Lines study to a chart with 160 days of 1 minute data, and the calculation time was under 2 seconds.

You should not have a problem. What is the timeframe of the chart bars and what exactly are the settings you are using for the TPO study? Please give us the exact name of the Study Inputs that you are changing from the default settings.

This is interesting. You are the first one to use time period of minutes that exceeds 1 day. This is currently unsupported which is resulting in a calculation problem which is taking a long time. We are resolving this.

the last version that i tried this with was 990 . i think one way to make this easier is to implement into the tpo/volume value area lines the ability to start/end based on time and date like the other studies. i think this would make a lot of people very happy.

Of course we know it's going on. We saw the problem and we are engineers. Who in the world is going to take care of this problem in the middle of the night over the weekend . This is excellent service.

Did you update by selecting Help >> Download Prerelease? Please follow our instructions and you will not have a problem any longer.

Did you see where we said in the prior message, that the version number did not change? The version did not change, but we made a new release which solves the problem.

You are communicating with highly experienced engineers here, who know what's going on, and are able to solve problems. You are not dealing with "customer support" here.

ok i stand corrected i did not upgrade to the pre release. if you can figure out how to invert while keeping the studies intact then you deserve kudos.
