New bar on chart event

Hi Support,

I understood that if i am putting sc.UpdateAlways = 1, to a study, the SC will will enter that study, everytime the price/volume changed, and also when a new bar is coming up.

Do you have a flag that can tell me if a call to that study, is because if a new bar on the chart, and the others calls are only when a bar value is changing on the same bar?

Or, in differant words, Hoe can i know when a new bar is on?

When using sc.UpdateAlways, the study function is called at the Chart Update Interval in Global Settings >> General Settings.

There is no reason given as to why the study function is called. You can always compare the previous value from sc.ArraySize to the current value.

You can store the previous value into a persistent variable by using this function:
