Yes, we should be getting to this in the next few days. We are just thinking how best to implement it.

Letting you know the latest release of Sierra Chart has the Low bandwidth option for the Sierra Chart Exchange Data feed in Global Settings >>Data/Trade Service Settings >> SC Server Settings. The option is named "Use Low Bandwidth for DTC Real-time Data".

We apologize, actually this option while in the user interface was not implemented internally.

This will be out in the next release coming out tomorrow.

We are testing it now and it works well. This is what it does:

-Market depth data is rejected and not provided.
-Bid and Ask updates are only sent out when there is a change of the bid and ask prices and not the size/quantities.
-There is no effect for trades. Those are transmitted normally.

First off thank you for addressing this problem
But after further review The lagging time has not corrected
the problem seems to be on SC charts
IB clock never lags while sc can lag as much as 20sec
Please correct this as it is costing me
Thank you

The lagging is not occurring at the server, or on the Sierra Chart For side. Data lagging is not possible at either of these locations. So it is somewhere occurring in between.

No data provider has any ability to solve a lag problem which occurs outside of their server or outside of their software. If you are getting a lag of 20 seconds even when using the low bandwidth option, there is something really wrong about the Internet connectivity you have.

What kind of Internet connection are you using? How are you certain that there is actually a lag?

Are you looking at the time along the top line of the chart? Not on the title bar of the main Sierra Chart window but just at the top line of the chart.

Will switching data feed back to IB help?
Would it cause any problems?

Just let us know when you see a significant lag and we will try to call around that time and we will use remote assistance to look at this.

Or if you can take a screenshot showing the times at the top of the chart and title bar and then post that here. It can be posted privately:
