Can you tell me if I can use a set of orders for this type of trade. I've been playing with the sim trading and using the trade window order but it's confusing and doesn't work. I want to attached stop and profit orders after I have entered a stock. I trade only stocks. So say I enter a trade at 50.00 I want to place an initial stop at 49.00. If the price reaches 51.00 I want to sell half my position than move the stop to breakeven at 50.00 If the price reaches 51.95, I want to move my stop to 51.00. and if the price reaches 52.00 I want to exit my final position. This is for a day trading strategy. I want to be able to set my orders and leave the trade to work on it's own. Could you tell me if I'm able to do this. Thanks.

Yes, this is fully supported. You need to use the Attached Orders functionality which is documented here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_AttachedOrders.html You will need 2 Targets and 1 common Stop. The stop needs to use the Move to Breakeven for Stop functionality which is also documented. You will need to use both Step 1 and Step 2. I am using the sim to try to set a bracket order, and it just doesn't work, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. It doesn't attach the orders I preset. Here is a error log i keep getting. For example, if you want a Target 2.0 from the entry price, then you use a value of 2.0. You do not specify the actual price. 2.0 is the offset relative to the parent order price. This is only an example. Use whatever you require but do not use a specific price. You cannot use specific price targets. Ok, I was able to figure the targets and stop to work, but now I'm having trouble with the Move to breakeven for stop Option. This is what I want to do. If the stock moves 5 cents below my 1st target price, I want the stop to move to breakeven. Than for the step 2 option, if the stock than moves 5 cents below my 2nd target, I want the stop to move to the price of my 1st target. Which type do I need to use, and which data do I input in the move to breakeven area?? Thanks
