My Ticks Per Volume Bar Setting in Analysis | Studies | Volume By Price keeps automatically going to a setting of 5.

I have manually adjusted this back to 1; however, when I close/re-open Sierra it will revert back to a setting of 5 automatically.

My chart settings Volume at Price multiplier is set to 1.

I have been doing a lot of work with continuous contracts recently.

There are only two definitive possibilities here.

You are using the Volume by Price study with the TPO Profile Chart study and that is using 5 ticks per letter/block.

Or the Volume at Price Multiplier is set to 5. Verify it is set to 1 and check that it never changes. Possibly it is changing temporarily without you realizing it. Maybe when switching to a daily chart.

There simply is no other reason why the ticks per volume bar would change..

We did some testing. Set the chart to a Daily timeframe per bar. Go to Chart >> Chart Settings and set the Volume at Price Multiplier to 1.

At that time change the Ticks Per Volume Bar input for the Volume by Price study to 1. Going forward it should remain at 1.
