Yes. Use a Trailing Stop type.

Hi,

I think you want the stop limit order, with the limit price few ticks above the stop price for BUY order, and limit price few ticks below the stop price for SELL order.

Yes. there was Sell Ask(Buy DIP) and Chase, but it was removed in Version 1256

Now, you cannot do that anymore.

I need a Trailing Stop-type Buy Order to Chase down on a dip to a limit, or max # of ticks.
(or conversely a short entry on trailing/chase sell stop into a bounce-top).

User 29582 said an Order Type of Buy Dip with Chase--- was removed in Version 1256.

SC Support above said use a trailing stop type.
I tried a trailing stop limit to buy above a falling mkt price, but the stop buy just sits there-it does not trail or chase the market price, & the trade window seems to revert to just a stop order.

I've used typical trailing stop-loss orders w/o any problem, but this trail stop to buy on reversal doesn't seem to trail.

Am I missing something in the documentation? It's difficult for me (w/ math degree) to understand without more examples. A net search finds little.

Please give a hint or example on this chase or trailing entry, as to what you intended or meant?
Meanwhile I will explore the chase function. Or point me to a link, etc.

I figured out part of Trailing Buy Stop, but it can only be set from the Main Trade Window by the pull-down prices?
For fast trading, it needs to be auto-offset based on (from) current price.

That is: I need to be able to set an offset from current price based on a Market Buy or Sell (like a common stop loss is auto-set up in settings based on entry price).

Or is that already under Chase? I'll keep experimenting (in Simulation, running)

I see it keeps-handles auto bracket/stop loss after entry from the Trailing Buy Stop set from the pull down price, like regular orders. That's good.

No need to reply here:

Revised to a new post on new support forum, as Request to enable price-sets from chart trading, to not only be settable by pull-down on trade window.
-- also Clarified, suggested solution on New Board, at:

Trailing Stop Entry- Request Price be Set from Chart, not just Trade Window Pull-down
