I need a Trailing Stop-type Buy Order to Chase down on a dip to a limit, or max # of ticks. (or conversely a short entry on trailing/chase sell stop into a bounce-top). User 29582 said an Order Type of Buy Dip with Chase--- was removed in Version 1256. SC Support above said use a trailing stop type. I tried a trailing stop limit to buy above a falling mkt price, but the stop buy just sits there-it does not trail or chase the market price, & the trade window seems to revert to just a stop order. I've used typical trailing stop-loss orders w/o any problem, but this trail stop to buy on reversal doesn't seem to trail. Am I missing something in the documentation? It's difficult for me (w/ math degree) to understand without more examples. A net search finds little. Please give a hint or example on this chase or trailing entry, as to what you intended or meant? Meanwhile I will explore the chase function. Or point me to a link, etc. |
