Dear support-team,

is there any possibility to add watermark text to the charts for better identification on more/bigger screens ?

If not, is it on your task list ?

Thanks in advance,

Alex

There are no plans to support this.

We could add a study though that displays the current symbol of the chart using a controllable font size.

That would be a very useful addition Sierra, if you have 8 identical charts open with different symbols it gets a bit confusing which is which with only a tiny title on top to go by. Font size, font colour, opacity would be a great addition

We added a "Symbol Display" study that you can use.

great addition however some of the settings dont work as expected. vertical and horizontal position values dont seem to work. be good to also have the ability to choose what text to display instead of just the symbol. the short name setting (under subgraphs) doesnt seem to work either.

Those controls set the initial position and then you can move the symbol by left clicking on it when a non-drawing tool is active. Move the Pointer to move it to a new location and then left click again.

The Short Name setting will not alter the text. Only the symbol can be displayed.

It would be very helpful if there was a way to lock the display on the screen. So it would act like a true watermark. Therefore, when I'm clicking around on the screen I'm not accidentally clicking on the symbol text box.

Thank you.

The Windows operating system does not support transparency with text. We will see if we can add a lock option to the Symbol Display study.

Update: A Lock Position Input has been added to the Symbol Display study.
