Hi: I reset "Chart Update Internal Milliseconds" to 1 and it alwasy come back for a setting of 40. What should I do in order to have a fast data? ( My data feed service is IB in case you need this info.) Your suggestions are greatly apprecaited. Hiwhited |

1 is not supported and would have a detrimental effect. If you go too low, you create the exact opposite problem and create delays due to overloading of the CPU. Thank, I will try 100 to see if the situation improves. What is your suggestion of this member for the data feed from OpenEcry and CST T4? In addtion, What is your suggstion for proper size of CPU? Thank you very much for your reply. Hiwhited |

i use 40 milliseconds with intel i7 quad core i never use more than 4% of my CPU usage (according to my task manager) most of the time its sitting at either 1% or 0%, just for you to get an idea http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7073159 this is my exact CPU Date Time Of Last Edit: 2013-06-03 22:25:40

100 milliseconds is a good update speed. You definitely want to use an up-to-date dual or quad core CPU. Any CPU that has come out in the last few years should be fine. I use 40ms, and it is very fast in updating. However, as SC said, IB data is the worst available on the planet, so no need to set it that low.
