Hello, why is not supported depth of market during a replay? Waiting orders could be usefull thing for papetrading. thank you. |

Then please use ninja trader. Depth of market data takes too much space to store. It will not be supported.

O.k. But space is nowadays not an issue anymore. Disk space is very cheap. The user should have the possibility to replay with DOM data or without.

<IMO> This is an important feature for anyone using (finding new strategies etc) or wanting to learn the DOM. It's not just NT, its a real disadvantage for SC as it's common on most packages with a decent DOM. You have documented "replaying the trade DOM", but without the market depth, I don't understand how it can be useful. http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ReplayChart.html#ReplayingTradeDOM Perhaps, it could be implemented as a recording option (with an expiration) like: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_RecordingModes.php#DataRecordingSuffixes I'm sure this would be a big feature to consider, so maybe research or survey users/partners etc. Personally, I like capturing as much data, so when something of interest happens, I can just replay it 100%. As SC can't do this, I record my screens mostly for this purpose. </IMO> |
