Interesting problem here: When I place an order for a quarter of a 32nd on the 5 year note, I get an error that the price is not rounded to the right tick size, for example 118'11.75: Trade Order Error - OEC order update (Rejected). Text: LimitPrice is not rounded to contract's tick size Other. Internal Order ID: ........ Symbol: ZFM5 | 2015-03-10 01:42:59 *
However, if I put the order at a round number like 118'11.00 and then move the order to 118'11.75, it works fine. Further, after I do this, I can then enter a new order at the price that was previously rejected and it works fine, but ONLY those prices--any prices that have not had an order moved to them still reject a new order. When I use the OEC software to enter the order, I do not get such an error, so it seems that there is something in the transmission of the order from Sierra to OEC that is causing the error.

We are quite convinced this problem is not on the Sierra Chart especially with way that you describe it. Verify the tick size in Chart >> Chart Settings is .25/32. Furthermore we also did a test now and could not duplicate it. If you continue to see the problem, we will let OEC now. You will need to provide us the FIX log: Providing FIX Log to Support Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
