I upgraded from 24 to 32 and it failed to download historical data for daily fx.

I closed and reopened TWS.

I tried fresh symbols using "find a symbol"

I did a clean install and only added Accounts.cfg

Here's the log from the clean version:

Thanks.

Just sent a copy of the full log for my normal fx sc copy in case it adds any extra information.

We do not need any further information. We are just thinking of the best and most logical way to solve this.

However, the main problem at the moment is that your system is blocking HTTP requests. So that is something you need to solve on your side.

This is the relevant line:

Reading for a HTTP request (1) failed. Windows error code 18: No more files. | 2015-02-18 05:33:28 *

The error 18 is from WINE. The descriptive text is wrong.

I installed an old 1202 copy to do my backfill.

I saw the http messages but given that no other outgoing traffic is blocked assumed they're erroneous. I'll play with ufw and see if I can resolve it.

I disabled my firewall this morning, and installed a clean copy of sc 1232 to see if I could identify the issue but I find my usage time has disappeard.

Usage time has ended. Sierra Chart is in Free mode. Features are restricted. | 2015-02-20 23:21:43
To purchase usage time, select 'Help >> Add Usage Credit' on the menu. | 2015-02-20 23:21:43 *

Your usage time has not ended. This is puzzling.

Also, the solution to this is to remove the historical chart symbol for the Interactive Brokers Forex symbol from Global Settings >> Symbol Settings.

Just came back to look at this again and report some extra research I did - no need now.

Yes, my usage time came back a little while after my report so I assumed someone fixed it.

I have tried removing the ^Symbol as you suggest and that fixed it. Thanks.

I had similar issues when trying get historical data. In my case restarting TWS during trading hours resolved the problem.
