Hi There,

1. After following set up instructions for Sierra Chart Real-Time and Historical Exchange Data Feed, I do not get the [M] indicator confirming connection to this data service (Set up was done in two computers, first computer is working find, but second computer is showing this problem).

2. Also there were no symbols showing in Global Settings>Symbol Settings, so symbol ESH5 was added manually and updated from server.

3. There is a [C] after the symbol. What does this [C] mean?

Thanks

1, 2. As explained at step 14 here, you need to set Sierra Chart to use one of the supported Trading services to get CME futures data:
Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed: Setup Instructions

3. This means it is a Continuous Users Contract chart.

Hi There,
1. Steps 1 through 20 were followed before contacting support.
2. I have doubled checked and instructions were followed accordingly.
3. Transact (with correct credentials)had been set up as trading service. SC connects to service.
4. However, problem persists as it is sometimes anticipated by SC set up instructions (step 19).

Thanks

As instructed on point 3, I am providing a copy of the message log. I did the global symbol update, but did not do the Full reset.

It does not show the [M] still.

Thanks.

This is the problem:

No SC real-time data feed mapping found for symbol: ESH5

You are running an older version and we are not clear why the symbol mapping is not found. There are two things you can do. You can perform a "Full Reset" of the Symbol Settings. Or update to the latest version of Sierra Chart.

Even if you update to the latest version of Sierra Chart, a Full Reset of the symbol settings might still be needed.

To update Sierra Chart select Help >> Download Current Version.

I actually did that and it worked, however all my formulas on the spreadsheet are not working, seems like the columns moved with the update. I have had this problem before, I have very complex formulas and it is a hassle to fix them, any ideas on how to avoid this so I can have the latest SC versions always?

New Spreadsheets solve this problem with a new format to reference study Subgraphs. This is documented here:

I fix that, but my data jumps from December 2013 to March 2014, skipping Jan and Feb 2014.

I did the full reset of the data as instructed above.

Either the procedure given was not exactly followed, or for some reason it did not work properly. Therefore, follow the procedure here to delete the Intraday data files:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ContinuousFuturesContractCharts.html#ReDownloadingByDeletingFiles

Also, the chart is correct for us for that time period:
