Gann Fan Tool will not turn off

I went to the Tools menu and unchecked the GF but it will not un-check and no matter what I do a Gann Fan is written on the chart with any mouse contact tot he chart. Thanks for your help in advance.

You need to select another tool. Select Tools >> Pointer instead. This is how you disable a tool by selecting another one like the Pointer which by default does nothing.
