Is 'Stationary Text' broken?

I always thought that Stationary text means just that. You write some text place it (say) at the top right of the chart, whatever the X axis does in relation to the price moving, the stationary text will remain at the top right of the chart. But this doesn't work any more, perhaps someone has changed something and not realised. Now, if you place some stationary text at the top right, it will disappear if/when the price on the X-axis moves a lot. For example, if the X-axis high low currently reads 4300 to 4400, if the price were to drop to 4000, the stationary text wouldn't be there because the X-axis has changed considerably. If the price were to move back towards 4400, the stationary text will reappear. So it appears the stationary text gets anchored to the price and is not stationary. Thank you. There is a new option for the Stationary Text named "Link to Vertical Axis Scale". This should be set to "No" by default, but if it is set to "Yes", then the Stationary Text will be set to the price level where it is initially placed. And as the price moves up/down, the text will move with it. It only applies to the vertical movement, the text will still not move horizontally. So make sure that option is set to "No" for the drawing and for the configurations that you are using. Thanks John, I've just tested both settings (yes/no) and they're both the same. If the x axis moves a lot, the stationary text disappears, and I was always on 'no' re "Link to Vertical Axis Scale" I'm on 2947. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2026-09-17 18:28:20

We are not able to reproduce this, even on version 2947. Please get us a chart that shows this issue by following these instructions: Support Board Posting Information: Providing Chartbook with Only a Single Chart Also, you reference the "X-Axis" but you also refer to price. The X-Axis is the Date/Time axis and the Y-Axis is the price. We have tried both and we are not able to see the issue, but please verify whether you are moving the chart horizontally (x-axis) through the bars, or if you are moving the chart vertically (y-axis) through the prices. And also let us know exactly how you are moving the chart. Are you using the pointer in the scale, or using the Hand tool, or something else?
