We have raised this to our engineering team for them to check into it. We do not know why there would be an issue with the Rithmic data between versions.

but nothing about the pulling, negative numbers and red color.

We are not understanding this statement. Is there an issue with the colors in 2947 when you are connected to SC Data?

No. With the SC Data everything is 100% ok like the previous version. None problem. I have positive numbers in blue. Negative numbers in red. Volume bar in green for bid and Volume bar in red for ask. everything is properly displayed.

We have looked into this and we do not know the reason for this but we have sent Rithmic the following message:

Hello Rithmic,

We have added new DTC Protocol messages for market data, for consistent datatypes for prices and volumes using a double type. Timestamps are also in microseconds or milliseconds. We will be removing several old and unnecessary DTC Protocol market data messages. The old messages are still supported though for the time being. They are scheduled for removal in December 2026.

We have users, reporting when using our newer versions issues with market depth data from Rithmic. This is not clear why there is a problem. Maybe it is related to these changes but it is not clear why.

However, please start sending only the new market data messages when the Sierra Chart version is 2947 or higher. You can tell from the Logon Integer_1 variable which provides the version number of Sierra Chart.

Below are the only market data messages you should be using in version 2947 and higher. I have marked which ones are new.

// Market data
const uint16_t MARKET_DATA_REQUEST = 101;
const uint16_t MARKET_DATA_REJECT = 103;
const uint16_t MARKET_DATA_SNAPSHOT = 104;
const uint16_t MARKET_DATA_UPDATE_LAST_TRADE_SNAPSHOT = 134;
const uint16_t MARKET_DATA_UPDATE_TRADE_V2 = 147;//New

const uint16_t MARKET_DATA_UPDATE_BID_ASK_DOUBLE_WITH_MICROSECONDS = 148;//New

const uint16_t MARKET_DATA_UPDATE_SESSION_OPEN = 120;
const uint16_t MARKET_DATA_UPDATE_SESSION_HIGH = 114;
const uint16_t MARKET_DATA_UPDATE_SESSION_LOW = 115;
const uint16_t MARKET_DATA_UPDATE_SESSION_VOLUME = 113;
const uint16_t MARKET_DATA_UPDATE_OPEN_INTEREST = 124;
const uint16_t MARKET_DATA_UPDATE_SESSION_SETTLEMENT = 119;
const uint16_t MARKET_DATA_UPDATE_SESSION_NUM_TRADES = 135;
const uint16_t MARKET_DATA_UPDATE_TRADING_SESSION_DATE = 136;

const uint16_t MARKET_DEPTH_REQUEST = 102;
const uint16_t MARKET_DEPTH_REJECT = 121;
const uint16_t MARKET_DEPTH_SNAPSHOT_LEVEL = 122;
const uint16_t MARKET_DEPTH_UPDATE_LEVEL_V2 = 109;//New

You can find all of the relevant updated files here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/DTCProtocol.php#DTCFiles

The changes will be very easy. The structures are all generally the same. There is just simply a change in types. All price values are double and all size/quantity/volume values are also a double. Timestamps are in microseconds or milliseconds. These are all standard UNIX timestamps.

You will want to remove support for older messages, in December 2026.

So for the time being stay on an older version.

Hello, I inform you I have tried to download the current version 2950 the problem is not solved, so I'm back to version 2931 which works perfectly but I cannot update Sierra Chart anymore if I wish to use it properly. Have you received answer from Rithmic with a solution or explanation?
Thanks

We have heard from Rithmic, and we trust they are going to implement the new messages. Hopefully not too long because really it is quite easy for them to do.

There may have been a message type that we removed support for already.

The version does not matter from our side at this point in time. It is dependent on what Rithmic does but we are not sure what they are going to do if anything.

I understand. I still have the issue if I download Sierra Chart to the latest version.
So, do I have to contact Rithmic or just wait for them to do something?
Are there other users with this issue?

We do not think it is necessary to contact Rithmic. We have contacted them again about this.

We would expect every user to have the same problem who is using the Rithmic Data Feed.

Hello, I have a big issue now. I cannot use Sierra Chart anymore.

I cannot use the version 2931 cause Sierra Chart refuses to connect with rithmic (Reconnect Wait - Connecting etc...) altought it worked yesterday with the DOM, stacking / pulling etc....
If I update to the version 2972, my DOM doesnt work, I don't get the datas, and the stacking / pulling is not properly displayed.

So, what is the solution if I cannot use neither the latest version and the last version which worked properly?

Thanks to help me and solve the problem with Rithmic in order to uplad the latest version of Sierra Chart and work with it.

Our recommendation is update Sierra Chart to the current version.

If you have a problem with market depth, that should be resolved shortly by Rithmic. We have been in communication with Rithmic, and they have done the necessary changes but they may not have been released to all of their systems yet. We have followed up with them this morning about that.

We will see what Rithmic says. They should release the changes soon and you should not have any problem once they do.
