Hi, I experienced persistent issues with a prior version of SC opening. The login screen would appear but once logged in, the platform never responded. To alleviate this, I updated to the current version (ie. 2933). The platform responded, however, when opening charts, the studies are missing. There's a persistent error referencing SierraChartStudies.dll (see screenshot) Can someone explain how to correct this issue? Thanks |

I double checked the change log to verify the current version. I clicked current version in the installer but it installed 2933 which is not the current version. I just reinitialized the update and selected specific version and input 2947. Ideally this corrects the issue. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2026-09-02 22:48:30

Most often, the reason a file is missing is that your virus scanner is detecting a problem and removing the file. You would have to create an exception in your virus scanner for the file. But, we want to point out that the file that is being referenced - SierraChartStudies.dll - is not the standard Sierra Chart file that contains the Sierra Chart studies. The file that we send is named "SierraChartStudies_64.dll", and if that file were missing, then you would have a different message. The file that you are missing was either developed by yourself or from a third party. Make sure you trust that file before you make an exception.
