When sharing trendlines from a 30-minute chart to a 30-second chart, future-extended lines miscalculate and misalign on the lower timeframe. This is not a visual scrolling issue; the underlying Date-Time axis limits on the 30-second chart truncate early, causing the shared drawing anchor points to distort in future space. How do I structurally configure the 30-second chart to lay out identical future time periods so that multi-timeframe drawings calculate with exact mathematical precision across both periodicities?

In general, you should avoid placing anchor points in the fill space to the right, as it can lead to changes in the drawings as the actual data fills in. Refer to the following: Lines/Rays or Other Chart Drawings Move After Drawing Them: Right Side Fill Space and Variable Chart Bar Timeframes Aside from the above, the following setting determines how many "bars" of fill space are setup for a chart. You would need to make sure this is high enough to cover both the chart types you are using. Chart Settings: Number of Forward Columns (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Display >> Chart Display Items menu) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
