As we're all very visual using charts, is there a way that a line could be added automatically when adding a symbol alert? At the moment if I want a symbol alert I move my cursor to the price, right click and click 'Add symbol alert'. A box pops up, I check the price level is correct, and then click OK. But wouldn't it be far better to also add a line automatically so we can instantly visualise where that alarm actually is? Make it a check box in case some don't want a line. A line would also make moving the price of the alarm simple, just grab and move the line versus the current way, have to go in Alert Manager, find the alert, right click, click edit, highlight the price box, delete what's there, and add in the new price. That can take 10+ secs, moving a line takes 1-2. When people use man many alarms, not having a visual line on the actual chart, means we then have to go and check on the Alert manager if an alarm if actually set. If traders have dozens of alarms, maybe even more, it's not the best way to manage alarms. A visual line makes it so much easier and less time consuming. Thank you. |

You can do what you want using the Alerts associated with the Drawing Tools. Set a "Horizontal Line" where you want it, and set the Alert as you want it. For instance, if you set the line above the current price and want the alert to go off when the price goes above the line, then you would set the following for the Drawing Alert: - Study Subgraph: Last - Comparison to Drawing: Above Refer to the following: Chart Drawing Tools: Chart Drawing Alerts For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
