It happened to me several times that when I am watching the actual price in the chart, and a Large Volume Trade marker appears, if I reload and recalculate the chart almost every marker dissapears. So I made a test making a duplicate of the chartbook. The two of them showed the large volume trade markers that you can see in the first image, but when I reload and recalculate the second chartbook the almost all the markers dissapear. I tested it several times and it happens every single time. The combining method I am using is Combine Trades With The Same Price and Type (Bid/Ask), I have the Intraday Storage Data in 1 tick and I am not using the Automatic Combining of Price Levels for Markers. The only thing different than the normal is that I have a duplicate of the study showing only numbers and no bubbles, to have transparent bubbles with numbers. But I tried it without the duplicate study and the result is still the same. https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1779965043665.png https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1779965108356.png |

First we have heard about this, but this is a new setting: The combining method I am using is Combine Trades With The Same Price and Type (Bid/Ask)
It is an unstructured way of combining. And if the first Date-Time is changing in the chart, it could make sense that this is happening. Make sure you are running an up-to-date version of Sierra Chart. When you notice this problem scroll the chart to the very beginning of the chart and look at the date-time of the very first bar in the chart. Use this tool and the Tool Values Window: Chart Drawing Tools: Chart Values/Crosshair Is it different? You can only use one instance of the study per chart so maybe that is the problem : The only thing different than the normal is that I have a duplicate of the study showing only numbers and no bubbles,
Using additional instances is not going to work right. Remove all other instances from the chart! This is critical. But you said you still notice the problem even when removing the additional instances. Still keep them removed. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I've updated to the latest version, and the problem seems to be solved here. I will take a look at it anyway, just to be sure. And the visual bug of the Large Volume Trade study with the transparent drawing style and draw numbers is solved too so I don't need to use a duplicate anymore. Thank you. |

It happened again today. I went to the very first bar of the chart before and after Reload and Recalculate and the date and time is exactly the same, 2026-1-30 at 00:00:00. I don“t know. I am only using one Large Volume Trade study this time. The only thing I can think of is that the chart is a continuous futures contract of the NQ, but I followed the instructions of the documentation step by step and had no problems until now. To be specific is a Continuous Futures Contract - Volume Based Rollover and the automatic rollover is activated. |

We did a basic test where we replayed a chart which will simulate real-time updating and then we reloaded the chart and we did not notice any changes in the combined trades. So we do not know what the issue is in your case at this time. And knowing how this is implemented there should be 100% stability with the calculations with combining trades on a reload. So long as the first Date-Time does not change in the chart. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. For the time being I try to not reload the 1 minute chart because the problem is still there. I tried several things but I don't know what could be the problem. If someone finds the solution I am here to listen. |

The settings are: - Automatic Combining of Price Levels for Markers: No. - Fixed Combine Increment in Ticks: 0 (disabled). And the Trades Combining Method is Combine Trades With Same Price and Type (Bid/Ask). |

We definitely cannot reproduce this. When we reloaded the chart after several hours, the Large Volume Trade Indicator markers were identical. Attached is what we saw before we reloaded the chart and all markers were completely identical including the quantity after the reload. The times at the bottom are US Eastern time. You really should not be having any problem with this. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. We cannot spend any further time on this. Refer to our prior post. If the feature is not working right for you then just do not use it. It makes no sense why you would have a problem, other than if the first date-time in the chart is changing. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
