This was a common functionality in QCharts, and with how complex Sierra's infrastructure is, I would have to believe the following exists. Simply put, I do a lot of text writing on my charts, such as writing the minutes after the hour that highs/lows are made (see brief example as attached). Unfortunately, in order to get the exact minute, I need to right click on the chart for my crosshair/chart value window. Then, I have to click my new text tool. That part is fine. Here is the problem: For each number that i have to write, I have to switch back to the crosshair tool, then, back to text, etc. It is extremely tedious based on how much I update my charts. In QCharts, I could keep the text tool or the pointer as my current item, but the chart values window would remain propped open. Then, as I moved the cursor, the chart value window would update. Again, this means the value wouldd be updating from just me moving the pointer and not using tool. So, how can I enable it so that the chart value window is always on and is changing as I move the mouse across the chart (regardless of whatever tool is open). Thank you! |

Refer to the following setting: Chart Drawing Tools: Action When Other Tools Selected (Global Settings >> Tool Settings >> Chart Values >> Chart Values) And also take a look at the following settings and see if you may want to set them a specific way: Chart Drawing Tools: Always On When Chart Values Tool Selected (Tool Settings >> Chart Values >> Chart Values) Chart Drawing Tools: Keep Compact Tool Values Window Always Visible with Tool (Tool Settings >> Chart Values >> Chart Values) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
