Hello,

I am using Sierra Chart as my platform to trade with Apteros prop firm. This firm allows you to swing trade overnight into the weekends. I have been experiencing issues with my orders after I close them when holding a position over the weekend.

The problem I have is that I flatten my positions on Sunday at the market open. It then leaves my OCO orders (profit target and stop loss) open. There were a few instances this had happened and I reached out to Apteros support where they had manually closed for me. When I go to my Rithmic Pro orders and manually try to cancel/delete myself, the orders are not pulled. I have tried to use all means to remove these orders on the charts but cant seem to.

When reaching out to Apteros about this problem see their response below:

I have personally proceeded to cancel all orders on your account to ensure everything is clear.

Additionally, I have been in communication with the Rithmic team to investigate your case, and they informed us that these issues may be originating from Sierra Chart, as these orders were placed through that specific platform. While the system functions correctly when using R Trader Pro, there appears to be a synchronization issue with the third-party software.

To resolve this, we recommend the following steps:
•  Update Software: Please ensure you are running the latest version of Sierra Chart, as keeping the application updated is essential for maintaining a stable connection with the R | API.

•  Contact Sierra Chart Support: Since Sierra Chart is a third-party platform, their technical support team must handle application-specific troubleshooting. We suggest asking them to contact the Rithmic R | API team at rapi@rithmic.com to investigate how their application is interacting with the server.

•  Alternative Trading: In the meantime, you may resume your trading operations directly through Rithmic Trader Pro to ensure your orders and positions are managed without these delays until the Sierra Chart issue is resolved.

Can you let me know what you think the issue might be here? With the open orders hanging, it reduces my position limits meaning I have set it at 5 contracts for MES but with the open orders I can only open 3 contracts because it recognizes those open orders as 2 contracts.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

The issue is that Rithmic did not report back properly that those orders were closed. This is not a Sierra Chart issue, the issue lies squarely with Rithmic, as they own the interface between Sierra Chart and Rithmic, and this is a known issue.

The errors you are getting on the Rithmic side are due to the fact that you are sending a Cancel order to Rithmic, but those orders no longer exist on their system.

You will need to remove the Orders from the "Trade Activity Log" to get them out of the system. You would need to find the specific orders that were sent and then remove those from the "Trade Activity" tab on the log. Refer to the following:
Trade Activity Log: Delete Trade Activity Entry
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:

So I understand correctly, I have to go to the trade activity report then filter the activity type by "orders". From there, I have to select the line to have it delete trade activity entry? When I click on the rows I want to delete and click delete, it removes the entry but doesn't remove from my charts.

Is there another method I can go about in removing this from my charts?
