Try as I might, I cannot seem to break the habit of clicking the traditional min/restore/close symbols in the upper right hand corner when I have maximized a chart. This affects the entire instance, obviously, not the window, & requires maximizing again & navigating to the center of the title bar to select 'restore'. I can't tell you how many times this has had real consequences... I have tried for a long time to change, but it would be immensely helpful if I could move that text to the right of the window. I've searched for a solution & tried the GUI settings, adding spaces to the separator, etc., but I cannot figure it out. Please advise. thank you! |

There are no options to move the position of those items. We have noted this as a Feature Request. We can not say when we would get to any particular request. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Okay thank you, John. I would say it's somewhat important... sometimes the fumbling to maximize the instance again & restore or minimize the chart properly can not only cost precious time regarding a trade or exit, it adds to the stress, it's a bit disorienting, & breaks focus, especially 'the zone'. Ask me how I know!! Btw, this isn't a knee jerk reaction or inquiry- I put it upon myself to adapt & change the habit for months now, or figure out how to move it- but this is the way Windows' windows have always been for decades- & it's not been an easy one to break. Notwithstanding, SC has usually the best reasons a method is better, & I'm not a MS fan in the first place. Look forward to this update! |

This actually cannot be a feature request. We do not know how this would be accomplished other than using this setting: General Settings Window: MDI Container Window Child Window Menu Text Separator (Global Settings >> General Settings >> GUI >> Multiple Document Interface (MDI) and Custom Title Bar Settings) You can add more spaces or you can use - characters. We are not aware that the operating support system provides any functionality to control the position of where drop-down menus are located at the top of the window. I've searched for a solution & tried the GUI settings, adding spaces to the separator, etc., but I cannot figure it out. Please advise. This is how it is done.

We do want to let you know that when you make changes to the "MDI Container Window Child Window Menu Text Separator", it will not update in the software unless you restart Sierra Chart. So you can have a large number of spaces for that item, and it will push those buttons to the right. You just have to restart Sierra Chart in order to view this change at the moment. This has been changed in the sotware, so that any updates to those items will update immediately after you apply the changes. This will be out in the next Pre-Release (v 2905). Thank you! Yes, I had tried that several times- didn't respond. Thank you for the tip on how to get it to 'stick'... look forward to the V2905. This is really great. Seems a simple thing, but it was a change that kinda put a stick in my spokes, mainly b/c I went from always working with 4 big screens to a workable chartbook for a 15.6" laptop monitor, but quickly max/minimizing a chart is key sometimes. I am going back to the monitors incidentally for other reasons, but it took a long time to get my tools 'portable', simplified, & contained. Such a simple little thing, I know... but it made a difference. Appreciate all you in engineering do. I love Sierra Chart, & what I know of your philosophies.
