Teton 2 connection

I’m currently running two platforms of Sierra Chart, each with its own Teton connection. When I run only one platform, everything performs smoothly. However, as soon as I open the second, I notice a significant slowdown across both—it becomes very noticeable.

Is there any setting I should adjust to improve performance or connection speed when running two platforms?

Also, would it be better to run a single Sierra Chart platform with multiple instances (11 for example) instead of two separate platforms? Right now, I’m effectively using separate instances for each symbol. Each one includes historical data, volume profile, volume bands, and volume bars, which I know can be resource-intensive.

I’d appreciate any guidance on optimizing this setup.

We are not understanding your setup.

How many computers are you using? How many installations on each computer?

How do the 11 instances relate to all of this?

I use one computer and 2 Sierra platforms.
Sierra 1 runs 5 instances
Sierra 2 runs 6 instances.
Also, would it be better to run a single Sierra Chart platform with multiple instances (11 for example) instead of two separate platforms to reduce lag?

CPU for each instance is between 2-5%, which is not bad at all.

If we are understanding this correctly, you are saying that everything is fine if you have Sierra 1 started with 5 sub-instances, but as soon as you start Sierra 2 (we are not sure if the Sub-Instances are also running or not), then your system slows down.

Although we can not say for certain where an issue may be, it sounds like this is related to your computer capabilities. We recommend upgrading your memory and possibly your drive(s). You may even want to have separate SSD drives for each installation of Sierra Chart.

You are probably better off with the two installations than running everything as sub-instance to a single main instance.

The other things to check are all listed at the following link:
High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often
