We have summarized the differences between the versions of Sierra Chart with New Spreadsheets and Old Spreadsheet. Refer to:

https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_Spreadsheets.html#DifferenceNewOldSpreadsheets

We continue to make performance improvements to New Spreadsheets.

Another item that needs to be explained is that comparisons between two completely different data types is not generally possible, in New Spreadsheets but there are some exceptions.

We want to make it clear, that there is no longer any development with Old Spreadsheets.

Any questions which are specific to them, will not necessarily be responded to.

Old Spreadsheets will still be available in current Sierra Chart releases until 2016.

NOTICE: Old Spreadsheets will no longer be supported in new versions of Sierra Chart effective sometime in December 2015.

You will still be able to use Old Spreadsheets in older versions of Sierra Chart after that time and those older versions will be made available for a minimum of three years.

We are going to move closer in time the time where we will remove support for Old Spreadsheets.

This is expected to be sometime at the end of October to the beginning of November.

We will ensure the users of Old Spreadsheets are made aware of this through the System Notification Message in Sierra Chart.

You will still be able to use Old Spreadsheets in older versions of Sierra Chart after that time and those older versions will be made available for a minimum of three years.

If you do not have a requirement for Old Spreadsheets, update Sierra Chart to New Spreadsheets by selecting Help >> Download Current Version (New Spreadsheets)

Newer versions of Sierra Chart are no longer being updated with Old Spreadsheets.

The latest version with Old Spreadsheets is 1310. Here is the download link for it:

Due to the recent performance improvements with New Spreadsheet and other general enhancements with Spreadsheets made over the recent months, we recommend users of Old Spreadsheets to migrate to New Spreadsheets in your available time.

The best method to do this is to install another copy of Sierra Chart on your system as explained here:
Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time

You can run both copies and then gradually transfer your Chartbooks and other setups/configurations over.

Converting from Old Spreadsheets to New Spreadsheets is not necessarily trouble-free. It will require some work on your part. It is not a completely automatic process. And sometimes the conversion of an Old Spreadsheet file to a New Spreadsheet file can fail.

When opening an Old Spreadsheet file in a version of Sierra Chart that supports New Spreadsheets, colors and other cell properties do not copy over. Only values and formulas will be copied.
