Post From: Differences Between New Spreadsheets and Old Spreadsheets

Due to the recent performance improvements with New Spreadsheet and other general enhancements with Spreadsheets made over the recent months, we recommend users of Old Spreadsheets to migrate to New Spreadsheets in your available time.

The best method to do this is to install another copy of Sierra Chart on your system as explained here:
Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time

You can run both copies and then gradually transfer your Chartbooks and other setups/configurations over.

Converting from Old Spreadsheets to New Spreadsheets is not necessarily trouble-free. It will require some work on your part. It is not a completely automatic process. And sometimes the conversion of an Old Spreadsheet file to a New Spreadsheet file can fail.

When opening an Old Spreadsheet file in a version of Sierra Chart that supports New Spreadsheets, colors and other cell properties do not copy over. Only values and formulas will be copied.
