If you are using a non-standard Tick Size, then we recommend changing the tick size back to the default for the symbol you are using. Then you can adjust the combining of the Market Depth data using the following settings: Chart Settings: Market Depth Combine Increment in Ticks (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Market Depth menu) Chart Settings: Apply Combine Increment in Ticks to Other Market Data Columns (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Market Depth menu) And for Volume at Price studies, use the following setting: Chart Settings: Volume at Price Multiplier for Historical/Intraday Chart (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Data >> Volume at Price menu) If not the tick size, then the other item to check is the color setting for the "Recent Bid Volume" and "Recent Ask Volume" and make sure these are not set to be the same as the background. Refer to the following and the item below it: Customizing Fonts, Colors, Line Styles, and Widths for Chart Trading, Chart DOM, and Trade DOM: Chart DOM Recent Bid Volume For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Will that bug be fixed, because before I had my DOM on a 1 pt compression and combined increment in ticks enabled, now using the method you have posted, my recent bid ask is now not lined up with my gridlines, and my volume profiles won't increase in tick size.

Same problem here. This was working perfectly before I upgraded (currently on 2913). John, your suggestion to "change the tick size back to the default for the symbol you are using" is not a workable solution for 2 reasons: (1) the whole point of changing the tick size is to show fewer price levels, and (2) the "ticks per volume bar" setting cannot be changed to anything other than "1" on a VbP on a trade DOM. The way it worked before is perfect, this just seems like a bug that was inadvertently introduced. |

Follow the exact steps listed in the post above, then adjust the scale and grid to match. If you had ticksize set to 1.0 (for 4 ticks) then set: - Volume At Price Multiplier (in chart settings) to 4 - Market Depth Combine Increment to 4 - Scale Range to 4x what normally fits in the window - Scale Increment to 1.0 - Horizontal Grid Line Increment to 1.0 You have fewer price levels, i.e. round numbers, and VBP is automatically matched. It works, I am looking at an NQ chart combined into 1pt increments now. |

@User431178 Thank you for this. It's a lot to change for what was once a single setting, but it actually makes my custom study which changes tick increments on the DOM simpler. Orders are still allowed at the original (more granular) tick increment (0.25 in our example). Some might call this a feature, and I guess it could be useful.
