How to create a diff or volatility oscillator study from 2 subgraphs of another study

I'm looking to create a subplot/lower study which calculates the spread/difference (or perhaps volatility) between the upper and lower bands of the Bollinger Bands study, and it's a riddle at the moment. The study 'Difference (Single Line)' comes to mind firstly, with the 'Based On:' input set to, say, the upper BB, but adding that & then adding a 2nd Diff study, I can't figure the right config for that, relative to the 1st Diff study...I could be overlooking an obvious solution.

I can fathom calculating the spread or volatility between upper & lower BBs using a Spreadsheet Study, but is there a certain combo to achieve this without a Spreadsheet?

Refer to the following:
Using the Basic Arithmetic Studies

And if you don't want to do what you want using multiple arithmetic studies, then we recommend the "Spreadsheet Formula" study. Refer to the following:

(EDIT: Never mind, I see the 'Study Subgraphs Subtract/Difference' Study provides 2 inputs...)

Thank you for the quick reply, John. I am looking at the Study Settings for 'Study Subgraph Subtract', for example, and although the Tech Studies Reference on SC's site lists inputs of 'Input Study 1' and 'Input Study 2', within the application there's only 'Input Data'...and setting the 'Based On:' dropdown to the BB study doesn't create 1 & 2 inputs. But 'Study Subgraphs Add' and 'Study Subgraphs Average' *do* have Inputs 1 & 2.
