Hi,

I am running into quite a bit of confusion on the way SC is dividing up bars.
I have checked the documentation but I am still not too clear.

I am finding bars are not dividing as I might think...

When I count the time divisions it seems the bar count is off of my calculations...

In this example I switched x min 59 seconds which yielded me the proper bar count but the time is all out of whack.

Not sure what to make of all of this...

This is not clear enough for us. And also make sure that the Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >>Intraday Data Storage Time Unit is 1 second or less.

Am checking all of this..

Only seems to happen when I am using exotic timeframes...
I'll keep playing with it more...

Also, I can't tell you how much of a great help the Live account balance study is...
I have strict loss limits to abide by so this is real helpful.

Only problem is, it doesn't save the past data when loading a study or performing other functions.
If I leave it sit there it is very useful, but I can't do much to explore the data.

Would it be possible that SC could save the past balance data? - Or that it would not clear from the chart?

i also have a problem with bar periods.. its not a very big deal but would be nice to get it fixed

the bar (say a 2 min bar) wont create a new one until 6 seconds after the bar is supposed to draw. say it is supposed to draw at 12:02:00 it waits until 12:02:06, any help?

thanks

This just means that the first trade was 6 seconds after the minute. That's all.

Thanks so much...

This is a huge help... I use that balance to analyze my days work and where I could have done better.
I usually throw a B-Band up on there too, but when I change the period it deletes - so this will be a major help!
Trying to get even at the top of the day!

As far as the bar period situation, I was experimenting with divisions of 23 hours when I noticed it.
I figure there's specifics to how SC handles gaps and time, but I couldn't quite figure it out from the manual.

Thanks so much again!
