I currently use the denali data feed for CME and CBOT futures. I found the documentation that outlined all of the servers you have, and I have two questions. 1) How can I verify which specific server I am connected to for real time data? I went through the message log and I could only find servers related to historical data. I could have missed it though. 2) How can I set a specific server for real time data? For example: Lets say the server I am currently connected to (which Sierra Charts selects automatically) is not ideal due to poor routing issues, and I want to use a different server in a different location. How do I set that? I went through where the documentation mentions setting a server, but I could not find the specific field within the options in SC. Thanks! |

To find out what server you are currently connected to, start at the end of your Message Log and search backwards for an entry that looks like the following: 2026-03-12 13:51:57.746 | Denali Data Feed | Connecting to the server ds28-2.sierracharts.com. Port 443
That is the server you are connected to at that time. Each time you disconnect and reconnect to the data feed, you will be connected to a different server. To specify a specfic server for the CME Group data, refer to the following: Sierra Chart Server Settings: CME Exchange Data Feed Server Address and Port Override (Global Settings >> Sierra Chart Server Settings >> General >> Special) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
