Hello, I am using Sierra Chart Package 12 with Denali Data Feed and Interactive Brokers as the trading service. My configuration in Global Settings → Data/Trade Service Settings is: * Service: Interactive Brokers [trading] * Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds: Yes * Intraday Data Storage Time Unit: 1 Tick The issue I am experiencing is the following: When TWS is running, the chart builds candles normally. When TWS is closed, the chart stops building candles, even though: * the price updates, and * DOM / Market Depth appears to work normally. For example, when opening the symbol through File → Find Symbol, Sierra Chart loads: ES-202603-CME The chart only updates correctly if TWS is connected. When TWS is not running, the chart does not update. The Message Log shows connection errors to Interactive Brokers when TWS is not running (Windows error code 10061). My expectation is that market data should come from Denali, and TWS should only be required for order routing, not for chart updates. Could you please clarify: 1. Why the chart requires TWS to be running to build candles? 2. Whether the symbol `ES-202603-CME` is correctly mapped to Denali market data in this configuration? 3. If there is any additional configuration required so that charts update using Denali even when TWS is not running? Thank you. |

Your premise is incorrect. When the system is not able to connect to the selected trading service, you will not get data either. There is nothing wrong with your setup. You just have to ensure that TWS is running so Sierra Chart can connect to it. If you want to run the software without connecting to TWS, then you need to change "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Main Settings >> Current Selected Service" to "SC Data". After you select OK to close that window, you will be prompted to update the symbols - you need to answer "Yes" to this, as each service uses a different symbology. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
