Copier not working on MNQ

Hi, I started using the Sierra trade copier (order allocation) to other accounts I have. For 2 of the accounts they are the same size so I'm using 1 as the multiplier. But I have a 3rd one that is 1/3 the size and I chose .33 as the multiplier. I found that I need to trade in 3's for this to work. It is working fine in MES and MCL, but for some reason is not working in MNQ. Can you please help me figure out what the issue is? |

You have to have quantities of 3 in order for the account that is set to be 1/3 has an even multiple of the quantity. But, the system will round to the nearest whole number, if you have a quantity of 2, the account set to .33 will have a quantity of 1. If the Order Allocation to Trade Accounts is setup the same, then the symbol should not matter. Unless there is an issue with trading that particular symbol in that account. Given the above, we need more information on exactly what is occurring. What happens when you try this and it does not work? Are you not getting any order at all generated? Or just not the quantity you want? After you have this occur, look at your "Trade >> Trade Service Log" and see if there is information in there related to why you did not get what you are expecting. I'm not getting any orders generated on that account for MNQ. Other markets are working. I don't see any history from this morning in my trade service log. How can I view that? |

Is this a specific chart that you use for MNQ? Or are you changing the symbol in another chart, where the symbol prior to MNQ was working properly to copy the orders to the other account(s)? I don't see any history from this morning in my trade service log. How can I view that?
Do you mean you do not see anything at all? Or just you are not seeing the order for the account that you are trying to find? Sorry - when you said "Trade Service Log" we were thinking of the "Trade Activity Log". If you are not seeing anything at all in the "Trade Service Log", then select "Global Settings >> Message Categories" and set all the options in there to "Yes". They may be set to "No" due to a change in that option in a release from a few months ago. Here is the order of what you need to look into: 1. Look in the Trade Service Log to see if there is anything in there related to why an order for MNQ is not going through for that account. 2. If there is nothing obvious in the "Trade Service Log" then look at the "Trade Activity Log" and see if you can find the order for that trade account in there. If so, then it was being generated and sent. In this case, you would need to check with your broker as to why there was a problem with that order. We are not going to look through the Trade Activity that you posted above. This is something you need to do. 3. If the order is not in the Trade Activity Log, then you need to look at the Order Allocation for Trade Accounts setup to ensure that it is correct. This relates to the questions we asked in Post #4. As far as the trade service log: there isn't any logs from this morning when I was trading. Only history from when I opened up Sierra this afternoon. I have used the copier in the past, but that was a long time ago. Just yesterday I set the copier up fresh for all my markets (3 charts: MES, MCL and MNQ). I had issues with MNQ both yesterday and today, but MCL and MES are working fine. I've set them all up the same way. The only difference is I'm trading less contracts on MNQ (3 as opposed to 9 or 12 on the others). I'm not sure if my ATM (which is set for 2 targets) could be the problem? For example if I trade 3 MNQ, that would only be 1 contract on the 50k account and therefore maybe it is getting rejected b/c of my ATM? I have already look through the trade activity log and there are no orders in there |

You really need to see if there is a rejection in the Trade Service Log. So the next time you try to make a trade for MNQ whihc uses the Order Allocation to Trade Accounts, check the Trade Service Log and see if there is anything in there related to a rejection.
