Lately I have very bad lag in data, up to several seconds, sometimes even dozens (!} of seconds. How is this possible? I am using Rithmic feed for a week now, and it is really laggy on market open. Orderflow cannot be traded at all. Will it dissapear if I switch to Siera feed? My internet is not so bad - cca 40 mbits download, so i believe it should not be the issue. What might be the issu? There could be any number of possible reasons, so many that it's not even worth speculating on what might be occurring. The easiest way to check how the Denali Exchange Data Feed will work for you is to install a second Sierra Chart and keep the service set to "SC Data" (which is the default). You will then be able to access our Delayed Streaming Data, which is delayed by 10 to 15 minutes (depending on the exchange). This data comes from the same source and location, so it will give you a direct indication of how well it will work versus Rithmic. Or, if your problem lies elsewhere. I have tried the delayed datafeed, but i cannot really say if if it 'lags' or not. It seems to be delayed 10 mins 10 seconds. If it was 10 minutes sharp, i would consider it ok, but why this 10 seconds? Rhitmic feed is sometimes lags ten seconds, sometimes it lags several minutes (especially in market open) |

I am now buying the denali feed and hope the lag will be resolved because with Rhitmic data i cannot really trade at all. it is constantly disconnecting and downloading historical data takes forever.

Our Delayed Data Feed for the CME Group is delayed by exactly 10 minutes and 10 seconds. The extra 10 seconds is because it has to be at least 10 minutes delayed, so we padded it by an extra 10 seconds to ensure there was no problem with the requirement from the exchange. If you are not seeing an issue with our delayed data, then the problems you are having are with Rithmic. yes it is probably the Rhitmic crap. Also historical download is much more fast with the Denalli delayed feed then Rhitmic. Do you use some special compresion or how is it possible? I am setting up AMP account to use the Denalli feed for everything because it is superior in every way |

The data is compressed while it is sent, but we are not doing anything special in this regard.
