Hello, I am receiving the following message in Sierra Chart: "Downloading Historical Data. Bars may not appear until done." As shown in the attached screenshot, the chart does not load bars properly and remains stuck on downloading historical data. I would like to understand why this happens and how to resolve it. Thank you. |

That message indicates that the system is trying to download historical data. We see that you are connecting to Rithmic and that you are getting your data from Rithmic. Rithmic has a lack of historical data, so you will have issues trying to get historical data into a chart. Refer to the following: Rithmic Trading Platform Service: Rithmic Support Policy We suspect that you have a Continuous Futures Contract option setup and this is causing the issue you are having. Be sure to set the option for "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Continuous Contract" to "None" for all your charts. -- An alternative would be to get your data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed. Just be aware that in order to get the CME Group data at the non-professional rates, you would need to have a live, funded, futures trading account. And you need to connect your Sierra Chart software to that account at least once a month for verification. Refer to the following: Denali Exchange Data Feed: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges To setup the Denali Exchange Data Feed for the CME Group, follow these instructions: Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX Exchanges* For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
