I am trading a prop firm account through Rithmic (Rithmic Direct – DTC). I can connect and trade fine, and I now have real-time data and market depth enabled on the Rithmic side. However, my prop/Rithmic setup does not provide historical downloads (intraday history), and in my Message Log I previously saw messages like “Historical data downloads are not enabled”. This prevents me from building charts with sufficient back history for Market Profile / Volume Profile, higher timeframes (H4), and strategy zone work. I would like to know if there is an official way in one Sierra Chart instance to do the following: Use Denali / Sierra Chart Historical Data Service for historical intraday + historical daily downloads + market depth while simultaneously Using Rithmic Direct – DTC for order routing/trading (sending orders to the prop account). In other words: Denali as the data source (history + depth) + Rithmic as the trading service, without needing to switch services or run two separate instances. Questions: Is it possible to “couple” Denali (history/depth) with Rithmic (trading) in the same instance? If yes, what is the recommended configuration (Common Settings / Service Settings) to force historical downloads from Denali while keeping Rithmic for trading? If no, is the recommended approach to run two Sub-Instances (one Denali/SC Data for analysis and one Rithmic for execution), or is there another preferred workflow? Thanks in advance for any guidance. christophe |

Sierra Chart is specifically setup to allow to do what you are wanting. Refer to the following: Denali Exchange Data Feed: Integration with Trading Services The only issue you may have is that in order to get the data for the CME Group, you need to have a live, funded, futures trading account (prop firm accounts do not count toward this). And you need to connect your Sierra Chart software to that account at least once a month for verification. Refer to the following: Denali Exchange Data Feed: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges Once you have worked out the above, then you can setup the Denali Exchange Data Feed for the CME Group data by following these instructions: Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX Exchanges* For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
