Indicator Candle Color Not Displaying on ES Chart in Second Region

Hi SC support, I have added an ES chart (as a second chart region) below my SPX chart using the "Add Additional Symbol" feature. I then applied a custom indicator to the ES chart (2nd region) and I ensure that the indicator is based on the ES symbol. Normally, this indicator changes the color of certain ES candles when used in a standalone ES chart. However, when I apply the indicator to the ES chart in the second region, the candle colors do NOT change as expected. The indicator is active because some other indicator's labelling shows up on ES chart, but the candle color are not changed. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks |

If you are using the "Color Bar Based on Alert Condition" study and have it based on the "ES" data from the "Add Additional Symbol" study, then also make sure that the study is set to display in Region 2. If not the above, then what study are you using to color the bars? Thank you for your quick response. I am not using the "Color Bar Based on Alert Condition" study. My indicator is a custom indicator designed to color ES candles based on Delta momentum. For example, if an ES candle has a strong positive delta, the candle should appear bright green (and similarly for negative delta). I have already set the indicator to use the "ES" data from the "Add Additional Symbol" study. And I Confirmed the study is set to display in Region 2. However, the candle colors remain unchanged—they look like a standard ES chart, and the colors do not update based on the Delta values as they do in a standalone ES chart. Is there a specific setting in Sierra Chart that prevents custom candle coloring in additional symbol regions? How to ensure the indicator’s color logic applies in Region 2? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! |
