In the past I had hidden some charts to activate them only when needed. Unfortunately, this was not possible in version 2829. After I updated to 2829 and started the program, all charts were visible. I set them back to “hidden,” but when I restarted the program, they were visible again. I am now back to 2813. |

We are not able to reproduce this with version 2829. Please let us know how you have your windows setup when you hide the window and when you save the chartbook and restart. We want to know if you have the windows maximized in the main application, or if they are individual windows in the main application, or if the windows are detached. Also, make sure you are saving your Chartbook after you hide the windows and before you exit from Sierra Chart. I am seeing this issue too after going to v2830 (happened on v2929 also). I even re-hid all windows in v2830, saved, closed, and when reopened...every window is open and none are hidden. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-12-12 17:51:08

Here is a chart book I just made in v2830. 4 charts. title bar/no title bar, hidden, not hidden. When I open this chart book, I see 4 charts when I should only see 2. Attaching here just in case something strange is happening with the version upgrades I have done from v2813, interim builds, then 2829 and 2830 and the chartbook metadata is somehow not as expected. |

While fixing the above, can you also verify that saving and closing a chartbook with Minimized windows will reopen with those windows minimized? In v2830, my chart book test does not show the minimized window when reopened. The tabs are there, and you can Restore with the context menu. |

In the next release, minimized windows will be in a restored/normal state. We are not going to support minimizing a window into the MDI client area. Use the latest prerelease. There are several minimize options now available. Including minimizing to the bottom of the MDI client area. But it is implemented differently than the operating system does it.
