Hi guys, hope all is well. Just downloaded version 2821 in pre-release and noticed more attempt to move away from the ecosystem & OS functions provided by Winblows. Trust me I hate Windows too, but changing window UI to create your own I don't quite understand the utility apart from design philosophy vehemently against the very platform the software lives on. I love this software but I'd personally much prefer to see further development of ACSIL interface over non-native UI stuff that isn't broken, with the caveat that it's being done to further improve performance. I do see that things are being added to ACSIL over time but I make requests for stuff that users could benefit from and am told its impossible and of no import. C++ is very versatile and capable in my view so its not really what paying customers want to hear but hey. This is pre-release but the "native" chart window management tool so far looks bad and runs glitchy. Well, it may turn out that longer term I'm sandboxed into an early 28XX version if the look and performance is bad. Is there a resource on the website as to how to better integrate or completelyd disable/remove this functionality? Thanks for considering the feedback and any resources I can review for this. |

We are aware that there are still some issues with the new items. The only way to not have them is to go back to the curren release version (v2813). Refer to the following for how to rollback to an earlier version: Software Download: Full Control Rollback Procedure And we do feel that it is necessary for us to be doing this. There have been issues with various items related to the Title Bars and tabs that we are trying to resolve. Not to mention just getting rid of the dependency on Microsoft Windows. We also want to make it so Sierra Chart can be run more easily on other platforms, for which these steps are also necessary. I see you have full UI customization with the window UI despite it not running smoothly as of yet. OK great thanks again for the response it clarifies a lot! If you eventually ported to macOS I wouldn't say no but would result in maintaining multiple executables.
