Hello, Supposedly there is an ask bid volume study that allows for putting the dominant delta in the form of percentage of volume but I can't find it. How can I put that at the bottom of each numbers bar? I tried putting in a new numbers bar and using one of the columns text formulation as ask bid difference percentage and then adding study subgraph above below bar, but couldn't get to work. |

Attached is a Study Collection that will give you the Percentage of the Ask Volume divided by the Total Volume for a bar when the Ask Volume is dominant. The percentage is displayed above the High of the bar. We leave it to you to duplicate what we have done for the Bid side. Refer to the following for how to use this Study Collection: Study Collections: Using a Study Collection Provided by Sierra Chart Support For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

This Wipes out My chart and all the studies I have on the chart leaving a blank chart and when I remove it it's still blank and I have to close chart without saving and bring it back up. But just to see how it works, I tried adding numbers bars to see where it would show up and there is nothing there, whether i put in window 1 or 2. Also, I am not a coder, I don't know how to make it do the same for bid. Even if I were a coder, I don't have access to the spread sheet. I was hoping it would be just like the Ask Volume Bid Volume Difference Text study Im using now, but with an option for dominant side percentage of volume, and put that one #, adding up column total, with the proper coloring, under the column using study subgraph above/below bar. I'm frankly surprised a premium charting package like sierra does not have this as a standard option.

Sierra Chart does have this, and it is what we gave you. There is a lot you can do with Sierra Chart if you know how to do it. As to the Study Collection removing the other studies, refer to the following: Study Collections: Adding a Study Collection Without Clearing Existing Studies On The Chart (Prompt to Remove Existing Studies) Given what you state, we think you should contact one of the people at the following link to get them to help you get what you want: Sierra Chart Personal Assistance For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Which study is it in the list of studies that are a part of the standard studies? The title of the study you sent me is not in there.

It is not a standard study, it is possible given what we gave you. You are able to put together studies to create what you want in Sierra Chart.

John, the Study Collection you provided in post #2 seems to be missing something. User216753, try the attached Study Collection. Put the attached file in your Sierra Chart \Data folder and go to Analysis >> DominantSidePercentage+ It adds two instances of the Spreadsheet Formula study, without removing any other studies if you choose No. It will place the AskVol dominant% at the H, and the BidVol dominant% at the L. Note: Despite its name, the Spreadsheet Formula study is not a spreadsheet study. It is so-named because it can use many spreadsheet functions, but in Alert syntax. |

Thank you so much Sawtooth, that was extremely very very helpful!! Can't say the same for John. In his original reply, he gives me a "We leave it to you to duplicate what we have done for the Bid side." I replied I'm not a coder. And Rather than attempt to break down how to access where the code is and how to open it and what to do, I get the brush off of "contact one of these 3rd parties" Didn't even make the ATTEMPT to work this through with me. After I've spent thousands of dollars over the years for the top of the line package with this company, I'm supposed to go spend more money with a third party because he wants to Dismiss me like I'm a stupid child incapable of taking instruction. Again, thank you Sawtooth, you are much appreciated. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-11-26 20:29:00
