I'm having difficulty getting an AI engine (ChatGPT) to parse and see exported data (TXT files) from SC. I'm using the "Export bar and study data to text file" to create the data file. Do you have any recommendations to prevent these issues and make the process smoother? Thx

We have no idea what you would need to do to get ChatGPT to recognize the file. It seems pretty silly that it can't parse out a comma separated file with headers that give the information on what each column contains.

For some reason CHatGPT is only seeing odd numbered bars of an export file of a 1 minute candlestick chart with the "Number Bar Calculated Values" study applied. IS there a setting that I am missing that is excluding some of the data?

I am trying to export data for a date range that includes both reg and after hours 1 minute data. However, the chart comes back without after hours data and many 1 minute intervals are skipped (see timeline).

That symbol is not very highly traded, especially Prior to November 6, 2025. What you are seeing is correct, as that is what was actually traded at that time.

Yes, that does explain it. Thank you. When exporting "Number Bar Calcualted Values" study, I've noted that some rows of data are not included in the export and some data gets "transformed" into other types of data. For example, I do not see any "Uptick" or Downtick" volume or "ask volume/sec" among others. Is there a limit to how many rows get exported at one time in this study? |

There is special consideration done in the programming for how certain items will be displayed. We can see where this might lead to some items not being outputted properly. Try setting the Input for "Use Default Number Formatting for All Subgraphs" to be "Yes", and then set the "Value Format" for the study to be whatever you feel is best for the numbers you want to output. Then export the data and see if there are still items you are not getting. Let us know if there are specific items that are still not output. I thought it worked, but I've just noticed that when exporting data via a TXT file then opening with Excel does not accurately replicate the data. I get very strange values that do not match the values on the screen at all (for example, sometimes getting rows of 0's and 1's where there should be multi-digit numerals). I'm specifically trying to export the data in the "Numbers Bars Calculated Values" study. Any advice?

Is it possible to export "Volume by Price" data from the "Volume by Price" study (or any other type of study) such that I can obtain Volume by price in 6 second intervals (bars) using a 1 minute candlestick bar chart? Currently, when I try to export this data, in order to display volume by price in 6 second intervals, I need to use a 6-sec bar chart when I prefer to use a 1 minute bar chart so that I can merge the data with other types of 1-minute data. Thx

Actually, I am trying to export the VbP data in "block" or "flat Table" format per bar# - please advise. (See attached for example) Thx

The only way the "Volume by Price" data is accessible is through the Spreadsheet Study. Refer to the following: Spreadsheet Study Inputs: Output Volume at Price Data You need to setup your chart as you would need to get the data you want. So I can get teh spreadsheet study to create a spreadsheet that lists total volume along a row with time and price per tick, but is it possible to display ask and bid volume along these same parameters? Is it possible to structure the data in "block" format in the spreadsheet? (see attached for what I have now) Thx

The only option is for the Total Volume as we specified above. The only way to get to the Bid and Ask Volumes is to use a Custom Study.
