It is my undersatnding that rithmic provides two platforms for each data account purchased but in a previous conversation SC explained to me that this feature does not work with SC.. but this is the email they provided when asked about this....can you please advise? The number of applications that can connect at a time is dependent on the Max Sessions for Orders count, as set by your broker. To use a third-party application in Plugin Mode, please make sure to do the following: 1. First, run R | Trader Pro; 2. Before hitting Login with R | Trader Pro, click Allow Plugins; 3. Login to the third-party application, connecting to Rithmic via plugin for market data. Please note that R | Trader Pro must stay running the whole time the application is running in Plugin Mode. What they told you about R | Trader is correct. The issue though, is that the Rithmic interface to Sierra Chart does NOT use R | Trader. Rather, it uses a DTC connection that was created (and owned) by Rithmic. Why the Rithmic support people do not know/understand this is beyond us. This connection that is used between Rithmic and Sierra Chart does NOT support multiple connection points. So you can only have one Sierra Chart connection. Additionally, if there is a connection to that same account elsewhere (through R | Trader) then the connection from Sierra Chart will not work.
